Jazz Great Oscar Peterson Joins The Ancestors

For those who haven’t yet heard, we lost another mountain in the music community. Oscar’s keyboard artistry and magnificent musicianship were paragons in the field for decades, though not as widely celebrated as some others — McCoy Tyner, Ahmad Jamal and Randy Weston to name a few, all great in their own right. It is not for us to wait for someone else’s media or perspective to exalt the giants of our community. It is for us to link voices, fingers, hearts, pens & keyboards to raise a clamor worthy of heralding the significance of their achievements.
